Class A/B with Hazmat

Job Description:

Adecco Transportation is currently assisting a Major client in Hingham, MA to fill a Class A/B delivery driver job with Hazmat endorsement. Tanker/ Forklift Certification is a plus but not required. This is a Direct Hire opportunity. As a Class A/B delivery driver you will be responsible for hauling compressed gas cylinders, liquid cylinders and hard goods and deliver to customers on schedule route in a Straight Truck. There is an increase in wage every six months. This is a Union position. Apply now if you meet the qualifications listed below!

Job Functions for this Class A/B delivery driver job include:

Safely load, deliver and unload hard goods as well as cylinders containing compressed gas.

Return empty cylinders to plant for refilling

Operate a pallet jack and other warehouse equipment

Establish and maintain good customer relations

Prepare DOT required log of time on duty and driving

Organize and secure load

Check orders for accuracy

Complete daily equipment pre-inspection

Record all merchandise that is returned by the truck

Follow guidelines established by the Department of Transportation

Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed and any accidents or injuries are promptly reported to management.

Log in deliveries on supervisor¿s log sheet

Skills/Qualifications

Must have Class A/B

Must have CDL License for 2 years or more

A current DOT MEDICAL CARD

2 years of Local Delivery experience

Safely lift and handle 50-100 pounds

Be able to work overtime as the seasons requires

Work in occasional adverse weather conditions

Pass a pre-employment drug screen

Pass a background
